New Delhi, July 14, 2025 — Bad weather hit Delhi on Monday morning. Because of this, people going to the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport are being asked to plan ahead.
The Delhi Airport has told passengers to check their flight status before leaving for the airport. Rain and low visibility may cause delays.
In its advisory, the airport said, “As per the Indian Meteorological Department’s forecast, Delhi is experiencing bad weather. Our teams are working hard to make sure your trip is smooth. We ask all passengers to use the Delhi Metro or other options to avoid traffic jams. Please check with your airline for the latest flight updates.”

Using the Metro can help passengers reach the airport faster, especially when roads are slow due to rain.
Flights may be late or canceled. Passengers should visit their airline’s website or app to get the latest news. They can also call the airline for help.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) says rain will likely continue for the next day or two. Travelers should leave early for the airport to allow more time for check-in and security.
The airport also said it is working with all teams to make travel safe and easy for everyone.
