iPhone 17 Series Set to Launch Globally Soon: Here’s What We Know So Far

Apple is gearing up for the global launch of its highly anticipated iPhone 17 series, which is expected to include four new models — iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. With significant hardware upgrades, a new design, and refined performance, the iPhone 17 lineup could mark a notable leap forward in Apple’s flagship smartphone range.

According to early leaks, all four models will be powered by Apple’s next-generation A19 chip, built on a more advanced 3nm architecture. The high-end iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max variants are rumored to house the A19 Pro chipset, offering superior performance and efficiency. On the other hand, the standard iPhone 17 and the lightweight iPhone 17 Air may run on either the regular A19 chip or Apple’s earlier A18 processor, depending on final production choices.

In terms of display, a recent leak from reputable tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo suggests that the base iPhone 17 model will feature a 6.3-inch screen, slightly larger than the 6.1-inch panel found in the iPhone 16. The tipster has a strong track record of Apple-related leaks, making this information noteworthy for Apple fans and tech watchers.

As per Apple’s traditional launch pattern, the iPhone 17 series is expected to debut in the second week of September 2025, with an event likely scheduled on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. Previous launches — such as the iPhone 16 on September 9, 2024, and the iPhone 15 on September 5, 2023 — support this prediction.

Pricing details have also begun to surface. In India, the base iPhone 17 could start at Rs 89,900, while the iPhone 17 Air may launch at Rs 99,900. The premium iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max could be priced at Rs 1,39,900 and Rs 1,64,900, respectively. Meanwhile, in the United States, the iPhone 17 is expected to retail around $899, and in the UAE, at approximately AED 3,799.

It’s important to note that these prices are based on early leaks and may change closer to launch. Apple has yet to officially confirm the specifications, features, or pricing, but expectations are already running high for the next big iPhone unveiling.
